Victoria Park Wesleyan Methodist Chapel – Great War memorial board

This memorial board is in the care of Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley.

A polished oak board with a trefoil top edge and stepped base. Painted in golden coloured letter is the following: In Honoured Memory European War 1914 - 18 Tom Critchison Willie Waugh Ellis Taylor Arthur Rhodes Clifford Wild Herbert Denison George Lord Jack Coles Willie Coles Eternal Glory to those that sleep.

Description:

Trefoil headed wooden board with inscription in gold painted lettering. Great War memorial containing nine names of those who died.
Believed to have been passed to the museum in 1981.
Keighley News report dated 9th September 1994.
The origin of this board held at Cliffe Castle Museum was unclear until 2016, when Ian Walkden of the Men of Worth Project successfully proved it was from this church.
