Sun Street Methodist Church war memorial boards. There are five wooden boards for the First World War and one metal board for the Second World War.

Sun Street Methodist Church, First World War memorial panels

Description: Great War memorial boards. One large central oak panel with thirty three names (in gold paint) of the fallen, and four smaller panels with one hundred and twenty four names of those who returned.
These memorial panels are in the care of Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley and were originally located at the Sun Street Methodist Church on Sun Street in Keighley. All of Sun Street and the surrounding streets have since been demolished and it their place is Worth Way and Morrison’s Supermarket and car park.

Description:
Second World War, 1939 – 1945. Plain metal plaque with raised border. Inscription in white lettering.
This memorial panel is currently in the care of Cliffe Castle Museum, Keighley and was donated to the museum when the church was demolished.

FROM THIS CHURCH
WHO RETURNED SAFELY
AFTER SERVING IN THE
SECOND WORLD WAR
1939 – 1945.
